Meet Our Family

Name: Simon Telfer
Title: Owner
Born: Dallas, Texas
Simon Telfer was born and raised in Dallas. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, he moved back to Dallas to join the family business. In 2013, Simon took over the business after his parents, John and Lorna, retired. In his free time, he enjoys working on and restoring his 1984 CJ7 Jeep. Other hobbies include golf, and playing as well as coaching Lacrosse. He received the title of All-American his senior year playing lacrosse for Texas.
Name: Eric Buford
Title: Senior Refinisher
Born: Danville, Arkansas
Eric Buford was born in Arkansas, and moved to the Dallas area when he was two years old. He is a renaissance man of sorts, having worked as a corporate trainer, a bar tender, as well as construction, before coming on board with Andrew’s Refinishing. When he isn’t in the shop, he enjoys spending his time cooking with family, playing disc golf, and hanging out with his dog, Zeus.

 
Name: Kenneth Green
Title: Head Upholsterer
Born: Shreveport, Louisiana
Kenneth Green started learning the trade of upholstery after high school, back in 1979. He has now been in the upholstery business for over 35 years, and joined us at Andrew’s Refinishing in July 2013. Kenneth’s favorite hobbies include working on automobiles, such as motorcycles, boats, and hot rods.

Name: Lynne Drannbauer
Title: Administrative Assistant
Born: Stamford, Connecticut
Lynne Drannbauer moved to Texas as a newlywed for her husband’s job. Job transfers have taken her and her husband to places like New York and New Mexico. Lynne has worked in the administrative assistant field for over 30 years and has been apart of Andrew’s Refinishing since January 2013! Her hobbies include gardening, reading, baking, and working out at the gym.

Name: Nancy Archer
Title: Interior Designer
Born: Enid, Oklahoma
Nancy Archer grew up near Houston, in Liberty, TX. She received her degree in Interior Design from TX State University. Nancy worked in the home building industry and managed selection centers until she came to work at Andrew’s Refinishing in August 2012. When she is not working, she enjoys reading, movies, and hanging out at home with her husband and doggies!

Name: Lorna Telfer
Title: Founder
Born: Kingston, Jamaica
Lorna Telfer spent her first 27 years on the beautiful island of Jamaica in the Caribbean. She moved to the U.S. with John in 1977 and joined the business in 1986. Lorna is a very competitive tennis and golf player. In her younger days, she was the Jamaican champion for 8 years and the Caribbean Tennis Champion for 5 years.
Name: John Telfer
Title: Founder
Born: Paisley, Scotland
John Telfer was born in Scotland and migrated to the U.S. from Jamaica in 1977. He started Andrew’s Refinishing in 1982. John strives for excellence in all his ventures and continues to play competitive soccer and golf.
