Our Story
In 1982 John and Lorna Telfer started a business retailing antique furniture and collectibles called Argyle’s Antiques. Argyle is the Dame of the Country from which John comes. During the first years of the business, we recognized the vast need for Dallas furniture refinishing and repairs. In 1985 the company took a new direction by launching Andrew’s Refinishing. Furniture upholstery was added a couple short years later. Our primary customers in those early days were the major hotels in and around the Dallas area. After establishing a name for ourselves through our exceptional refinishing work, our services grew into the Ft. Worth and surrounding areas. We are very thankful to all of our hotel, designer, insurance company, office furniture refinishing clients, and all of our residential clients. We strive to continue to be a leading provider for service in furniture refinishing and upholstery.

MEET THE ANDREW’S TEAM
Simon Telfer
Owner
Simon Telfer was born and raised in Dallas. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, he moved back to Dallas to join the family business. In 2013, Simon took over the business after his parents, John and Lorna, retired. In his free time, he enjoys working on and restoring his 1984 CJ7 Jeep. Other hobbies include golf, and playing as well as coaching Lacrosse. He received the title of All-American his senior year playing lacrosse for Texas.
Eric Buford
Senior Refinisher
Eric Buford was born in Arkansas, and moved to the Dallas area when he was two years old. He is a renaissance man of sorts, having worked as a corporate trainer, a bar tender, as well as construction, before coming on board with Andrew’s Refinishing. When he isn’t in the shop, he enjoys spending his time cooking with family, playing disc golf, and hanging out with his dog, Zeus.
Nancy Archer
Interior Designer
Nancy Archer grew up near Houston, in Liberty, TX. She received her degree in Interior Design from TX State University. Nancy worked in the home building industry and managed selection centers until she came to work at Andrew’s Refinishing in August 2012. When she is not working, she enjoys reading, movies, and hanging out at home with her husband and doggies!
Lilli Masterson
Upholstery & Front Desk
Lilli Masterson was born and raised in Oklahoma City, OK and spent 3 years at The University of Oklahoma studying Public Relations and Psychology. In May of 2018 she picked and moved to the Dallas area and will finish her degree at University of North Texas. When she’s not greeting customers, she enjoys cooking, spending time with her boyfriend and their 2 dogs Mikey and Maisy, and DIY-ing anything she can get her hands on.
