Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about furniture refinishing in Bishop Arts / North Oak Cliff.

Can you replace just the foam in my cushions?

Yes, on loose cushions with removable covers or zipper access. You pick the firmness from several comfort levels of high-density foam, or add a down-feather wrap for a softer sit.

What about cushions sewn into the sofa?

Attached cushions are handled as full reupholstery, since getting inside takes the same labor either way. A quick photo tells us which type you have.

Given the distance, should I just drop my cushions off?

That is what we recommend. For cushion-only jobs we prefer drop-off at the Carrollton shop, about a 35 to 45 minute drive, since the $250 pickup minimum is hard to justify for a car-load of cushions.

Can you make cushions for my porch furniture?

Yes, in outdoor-rated foam and fade-resistant Sunbrella fabric, sized to your frames, a fitting upgrade for a neighborhood that practically lives on its front porches.
