What does it cost to reupholster a sofa?

For a three-seat sofa, labor starts around $1,500 and fabric typically adds roughly another $1,200, so a complete job starts near $2,500. A club or wingback chair runs $650 to $900 in labor plus roughly $700 in fabric. Dining chair seats come in considerably lower per piece.

I have an antique chair frame. Can it be reupholstered without hurting it?

Usually yes, and it is often the better path for an older frame. If the wood also needs attention, we can handle the repair and the finish in the same shop before it goes back to the upholstery bench.

How do I choose fabric, and how long does that take?

We work from swatch books rather than keeping rolls in stock. You pick from the books, we order, and the material takes about a week to arrive. For a regular-use sofa we look at 30,000 rubs or higher, and 50,000 or higher for a heavily used room.

How long will my piece be gone, and do you pick up in Forest Hills?

Reupholstery runs 6 to 12 weeks depending on the shop’s workload. Fabric selection and the deposit happen before pickup so the material is here waiting. We are about 35 minutes northwest of the lake, and pickup and delivery starts at $250 round trip.
